The Luger Pistol.

The Luger Pistol was invented in 1898, but thanks  to its durability and quality, it was still widely used in the Second World War.

This iconic weapon  could be described as the most famous pistol in modern warfare, and its unique design features  in almost every media depiction of World War II.

The weapon's longevity means it was also used in  the First World War and then by the Swiss Army until the 1970s.

It was first manufactured  in the 1900s and was a semi-automatic hand weapon invented by an Austrian arms designerGeorg Luger.
