Thanatophoric dysplasia (TD) is the most common form of lethal neonatal dwarfism with micromelic shortening of the limbs, macrocephaly, platyspondyly, and reduced thoracic cavity.
Conclusions: In order to reduce the incidence of neonatal unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia, more emphasis should be put on the health care of the perinatal period.
These results suggest that early neonatal hopocalcemia appears to be related to a transient lack of response to PTH of the target organs, disordered vitamin D metabolism and hypercalcitoninemia.
